This conference will focus on the analysis of the tensions generated by environmental policies in a context of global conflict. It will address socio-ecological confrontations, and delve into the relationship between the climate crisis, agriculture and energy.

Marc Vilahur, environmentalist and director general of Polítiques Ambientales and Medi Natural in the Government of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
10:40-11:00 Keys to understanding environmental conflicts in a context of contested sustainability.
Amaranta Herrero, graduate in Sociology and PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB), professor of Sociology at the UB and researcher focused on socio-ecological conflicts, environmental movements and food governance.
